Misty Cove BDX 316 & 317 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2021Dry style Fresh fig Basil & lemon Richly textured "This is a stylish rendition with nectarine, fresh fig, sweet basil and lemon zest aromas with a hint of oatmeal complexity. The wonderfully weighted palate delivers excellent concentration and richly textured mouthfeel, brilliantly structured by bright acidity, finishing long and engaging. At its best: now to 2028" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Sep 2021

"BDX 316 & 317 are two Bordeaux clones with a reputation for producing wines that are less grassy and show more tropical fruit character. It certainly shows more ripeness than the average Marlborough sauvignon, with a backbone of attractively ripe acidity. A delicious wine" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Oct 2021

"An enticing, intriguing, complex bouquet shows a wide array of characters including green rockmelon, citrus blossom and savoury, bacon rind and buttered popcorn notes. A suave, dry, mineral, stone-sucking food-style with great mid-palate concentration, flinty, lemony acidity and an elegant, piquant finish. Sophisticated, deliciously moreish wine" The Wine Rater, Dec 2021

Produced from Sauvignon Blanc clones 316 & 317 that bear the “BDX” prefix to denote their Bordeaux origins. Clone 316 typically yields smaller crops of loose clusters with medium berries, whilst clone 317 yield larger berries with thicker skins. When combined into one they give an edge to Sauvignon Blanc flavours, with less cut grass, and more mouth-coating texture.

One to push boundaries they decided to make a wine only from the French clones and called it exactly what it is...

Much of Marlborough success has been driven by a single Sauvignon Blanc clone called MS or Mass Selection. However, since the 1990s new clones (316 & 317) were brought in from Bordeaux to help provide more palate weight to the varietal intensity that MS brings to the table, so winemakers now have a choice to blend these clones all together or stick to what they know works.

Great job by Asurion!
Asurion handled my claim quickly and efficiently. My return was picked up by UPS and an Amazon gift card for the full amount was received as promised. Very happy with the process.

Make sure you read the terms and conditions and don't let them off the hook
Asurion is counting on the fact that you don't know how to read. They made the claim process aggravating and as difficult as possible. I CAN read and had to review the terms and conditions with them on the phone and threaten to involve an attorney before they would honor the coverage. They tried to say my product was not portable, when the word "portable" is literally in the name of the product. Then they tried to say the the accidental drop was not covered, but it clearly states in the terms and conditions that an accidental drop and a cracked screen is a covered event. I buy the coverage almost every time I am offered it, but I will be rethinking that going forward and Amazon should consider finding a different company to issue the protection plans for their products because I fear this is the beginning of a lot of complaints. I have filed a claim in the past and it was very straightforward and easy, but they must have a new company managing the plans now, because it was anything but easy. If I was an older person who was not tech savy, or who just took someone's word at face value, I would be out the cost of my item and the protection plan. BUYER BEWARE

Cover yourself!
My HP printer just stopped printing. Spent over 4 1/2 with HP Support doing all kinds of technical experiments with even the most complex Factory Restarts, this printer kept saying everything was working but it wouldn't print. HP finally declared it a hardware defective; told I needed a new printer and to recycle this one (less than 1 1/2 years old - don't make like they used to!). Called Asurion, who immediately processed a claim and arranged for a pickup of the defective printer since I can't drive. Fast quality service worth every penny if you're buying any kind of devices in today's world.
