The chain is made by Brother Wolf, a family-owned jewelry house founded in 1989 that specializes in religious-inspired reproductions of antique relics. When the jewelers find a special item, it is used to create a mold that includes all the details of the original piece, down to the tiny scratches and wear seen on the original, which gives the contemporary reproduction the same antique beauty of the relic. The name Brother Wolf is a reference to St. Francis of Assisi, who is known as the patron saint of animals. In the legend of St. Francis, the saint tamed a dangerous wolf by treating him as a creature of God and calling him “Brother Wolf.”
