This rare Belarus OMON badge was awarded to members of the Special Purpose Police Unit (OMON) who successfully passed the demanding qualification to earn the elite Black Beret. Produced by Sens in Minsk, the authorized maker of official state decorations, it carries the distinctive design of a black beret laid over a sword, with the inscription “Law, Honor, Courage”.
The reverse bears the maker’s mark СЭНС and a serial number field (number removed for security), confirming its authenticity as an official issue rather than a reproduction. These badges were produced in limited numbers and were reserved for personnel who endured one of the most rigorous tests of endurance and combat skill within post-Soviet internal security forces.
