They have also updated the beam forming microphone technology to StereoZoom 2.0 which enables the user to focus on the speech coming from the front in environments with higher levels of competing noise.
Speech Sensor
Speech Sensor is a brand new feature in Phonak Lumity hearing aids designed to detect speech from other directions other than just the front and preserves those speech signals so the hearing aid wearer can switch attention when desired to other speech signals around them. Phonak’s research show that around 80% of the speech is naturally from the front during social outings. With the remaining 20% being from the sides and behind it is important to be able to hear these speech signals too.
