Cold ultrasound gel is one of the most common patient comfort complaints in diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound procedures. The Grafco GF108 eliminates this by warming a single 8-oz bottle of gel to a comfortable clinical temperature before application. The extra-deep improved sleeve positions the bottle further into the heating chamber than earlier designs, providing more uniform heat distribution throughout the bottle rather than warming only the lower half. Adjustable temperature control knob allows the clinician to set the operating temperature within the 90°F–120°F range for the specific gel or lotion in use. A lighted on/off switch confirms at a glance that the unit is operating. Compact white powder-coat metal housing sits on any exam room counter without occupying significant workspace. 6-foot hospital-grade power cord. Made in USA.

Key Features

  • Extra-deep improved sleeve — holds the 8-oz bottle further into the heating chamber than the previous design; promotes even, uniform heat distribution throughout the full bottle rather than concentrating warmth at the base
  • Adjustable temperature control — knob adjusts operating temperature within the 90°F–120°F range; turn clockwise to increase, counterclockwise to decrease; adjust in small increments and allow the temperature to stabilize before rechecking
  • Temperature accuracy ±3°F — consistent heating within a clinically appropriate range for ultrasound gel application
  • Lighted on/off switch — illuminated when the unit is operating; visible confirmation of power status at a distance
  • 6-foot hospital-grade power cord — adequate reach from standard exam room outlets; hospital-grade connector meets clinical electrical safety requirements
  • Compact countertop footprint — fits on exam room counter or supply shelf without displacing other equipment
  • White powder-coat metal housing — durable, cleanable surface consistent with clinical environments; resistant to routine disinfectant wiping
  • Single-bottle design — suited to standard exam room volume; for higher-volume ultrasound settings, see the GW208 two-bottle warmer
  • Made in USA by Grafco / GF Health Products (Graham-Field)

Clinical FAQs

What temperature does the GF108 heat gel to and how long should it be allowed to warm up before use?

The GF108 heats gel within the adjustable range of 90°F to 120°F (32.2°C–48.9°C), with a stated accuracy of ±3°F. For most ultrasound applications, a gel temperature in the range of 98°F–104°F is comfortable for the patient — approximating body temperature — without risk of thermal discomfort. The temperature control should be set to the desired range and the unit allowed adequate warm-up time before the first patient of the day; the manufacturer's instructions indicate sufficient time should be allowed for gel at room temperature to reach operating temperature after the unit is switched on. Best practice in clinical settings is to turn the warmer on at the start of the day and allow it to maintain temperature throughout the session rather than heating gel immediately before each patient. For gel that needs to be warmed quickly, the room-temperature gel can be rotated into the warmer while a pre-warmed bottle is in use. The unit is designed for continuous daytime operation in a clinical setting.

What type and size of gel bottles does the GF108 accept?

The GF108 is designed to hold one standard 8-ounce (236.6 mL) ultrasound gel or lotion bottle. The extra-deep sleeve accommodates the cylindrical body of standard clinical gel bottles — the most common size used in diagnostic radiology, obstetric ultrasound, cardiac echo, and therapeutic ultrasound in physical therapy and sports medicine. Bottles larger than 8 oz may not seat correctly in the sleeve. If your facility uses ultrasound gel in larger bottles (typically 250 mL or 1-liter formats), the gel is typically dispensed into a smaller 8-oz bottle before placing in the warmer, or the GW208 two-bottle warmer may be more appropriate for higher-volume settings. Call us at 1-866-218-0902 to discuss warmer options for specific gel bottle formats.

What clinical settings is the GF108 appropriate for?

The GF108 is appropriate for any clinical setting where ultrasound gel is applied to patients for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes — including hospital and outpatient radiology departments, obstetric and maternal-fetal medicine practices, cardiac imaging and echo labs, emergency departments using point-of-care ultrasound, physical therapy clinics using therapeutic ultrasound, chiropractic and sports medicine facilities, and any physician office or urgent care clinic performing bedside ultrasound. Warm gel is particularly beneficial in settings where patients are anxious, where the examination area is the abdomen or chest in cool room temperatures, or where the patient population includes elderly patients, neonates, or patients who are already uncomfortable due to their clinical condition. The GF108's compact size suits single-room clinical environments and smaller practices; facilities running multiple examination rooms simultaneously may consider one warmer per room or the GW208 two-bottle warmer for a shared supply station.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
