New for 2022, Vaughn Custom Sports has introduced their brand new leg pad model in the Ventus SLR line. The Vaughn Ventus SLR3 Junior Goalie Leg Pads are designed specifically for today’s butterfly goaltender and features key materials and features to excel this pad above the rest.
Starting off with the face of the Vaughn Ventus SLR3 goalie leg pad, the graphic is designed as a series of long color zones that start at the lower outside of the pad, travel in toward the middle and then shoot toward the upper outside of the pad, before finally pivoting back towards the center of the pad at the top of the thigh, creating the illusion of a wider leg pad.
Moving on to the internal build of the Vaughn SLR3, the leg pad comes without outer breaks but still has a single internal break below the knee to help shape the pad to help cover the five hole. The SLR3 features a high density, full pro core structure while pre-shaped curved upper profile has been implemented and helps along with the stiff thigh rise to create an optimal seal to the five hole area, along with an extended thigh rise for complete coverage.
At the boot the SLR3 features a scoop angle to provide full flexibility for added range of motion, while keeping the build towards the boot angle stiff to help the pad sit up on the leg.
Along the outside of the pad, the beveled outer roll provides better puck deflection, while a narrow profile on the outer edge and gusset provides for increased mobility and better pad rotation. The inside edge features molded plastic reinforcement along the sliding edge to add stiffness for positive quick pad reaction.
The back of the SLR3 features an open knee cradle to aid with pad rotation, while a Pure Composite insert on the inner knee offers increased stability. The knee block features a Velcro knee strap that can be run behind the knee or angled down to the calf. Inside the calf wraps, the Reactive Rotational Control strap is added to provide a snug internal fit. This RRC strap can be adjusted to the goaltender’s preferred tension to create a faster responding pad.
On the leg channel of the SLR3, the calf wraps have been extended to fit more on top of the goaltender’s leg to create a better response from the pad. Closing off the leg channel, there is a Y-Strap that pulls through the outside and doubles back over itself. At the ankle, the same style strap is featured to help pull the pad up on to their skate and lock the goaltender’s leg to the pad.
Finally, the boot strap of the SLR3 continues the beloved elastic/traditional hybrid style that has been so successful from the SLR2 and Velocity V9 models. The toe bungee system from the SLR2 also makes its return to the SLR3.

Perfect for my dog!
Style: Flying Glow Squirrel
My dog loves it! It hovers in flight, making it easy to catch, and it’s easy for her to pick up since it’s not flat like a regular disc. It even went thru the washing machine without damage, but I let it air dry so the dryer wouldn’t tear it up. Will buy again!

So much fun
Style: Flying Glow Squirrel
My shepherd loves this thing. He is a true fiend for a frisbee or ball and this is his new favorite toy. He will carry it around just to do so, and that’s a new thing for him. It’s soft which is good for my poor hands, yet it’s durable and stands up to the tests he throws at it. It flies well and hasn’t warped no matter what it’s hit. No tears through any of the chewing yet either. Good size toy that gives hours and hours of fun for the most playful and silly doggos out there!

Beloved dog toy now in glow in the dark canvas.
Style: Flying Glow Squirrel
This is a great frisbie style product with the advantage of glow in the dark visibility. My German Shepherd has been retrieving the original Chuckits for 5 years. They fly through the air and have the advantage of curved design which allows a dog to slide their mouth under it easily when it is on the ground. Awesome dog toy that my dog never tires of. Heavy duty canvas design for durability and washability when it gets muddy.

Great, tough, and will not break your dog’s teeth!
Style: Giggle Fumble
I am the aunt of several different types of dogs and they all love the giggle toys. The problem with most of them is that they are hard to Plastic (I guess so the dog doesn’t bite into the giggle box and disable it). Every pup I know is crazy about the giggle toys, but I’m always afraid they’ll break teeth. This one is very tough material but not hard so that your dog could bite down on it and enjoy the giggle.
