What Makes the Metro Different

Contoured Seat Design Most lift chair seats are flat. The Metro's seat is contoured — shaped to cradle the hips and thighs rather than just support them on a flat surface. The result is a chair that feels like it was built for your body, not a generic shape. Customers who sit in it in our showrooms consistently describe it as the most comfortable chair in the lineup.
Overstuffed Split-Seam Backrest The back is divided by a center seam into two deeply padded sections — left and right — that conform individually around the spine. Combined with the overstuffing, this creates a wrapped, enveloping feel that flat single-panel backs cannot produce. Excellent for patients who find standard lift chairs uncomfortable for extended sitting.
Full-Width Power Headrest The headrest lifts the entire head, neck, and shoulder zone — not just a small adjustable neck cushion. This matters for patients with neck stiffness, cervical issues, or anyone who wants full upper body support without manually repositioning pillows. Adjusts independently of the backrest recline.
Power Lumbar An inflatable bladder in the lower back section firms or softens lumbar support on demand. Adjusted from the hand control independently of all other positioning. Allows personalization for different activities — firmer for upright reading, softer for reclined relaxation.
14" Wall Clearance Only 14 inches of clearance needed between the back of the chair and the wall to recline fully. This is among the tightest wall clearances in the lift chair category — it fits against walls in smaller rooms, apartments, and tight living spaces where chairs requiring 20"+ clearance simply do not work.
Infinite Lay-Flat + Quick-Ship Infinite positioning reclines to fully flat for napping and extended rest. Not Trendelenburg — the footrest does not rise above head level — but full lay-flat is available. Quick-ship in-stock fabric options mean most orders leave the manufacturer within 1–2 business days, arriving within 5–7.

Frequently Asked Questions

Both chairs have infinite positioning, power headrest and lumbar, full chaise, footrest extension, and lithium battery backup. The differences: the Metro has the contoured seat and overstuffed split-seam back — a distinctly more enveloping comfort experience — and only 14" of wall clearance required. The Tranquil has a three-pad waterfall back (different support style), comes in three sizes (Small, Medium, Large/Tall), and adds Trendelenburg capability (feet above head). If comfort and fit for a medium-height user are the priorities, the Metro is worth sitting in before you step up to the Tranquil. If you need a size other than Medium, or specifically need Trendelenburg, the Tranquil is the right chair.
No. The PLR-925 offers infinite lay-flat positioning — it reclines to fully flat, and the footrest rises — but it does not reach Trendelenburg where the feet exceed head level. If your physician has specifically recommended Trendelenburg for lower leg edema management or circulation improvement, the PLR-935 Tranquil is the correct Pride chair. If zero gravity (feet at or near heart level) is sufficient, the Metro covers that range comfortably.
Wall clearance is the distance between the back of the chair and the wall required for the chair to fully recline. Most lift chairs need 17–22 inches — meaning the chair must sit that far from the wall. In apartments, smaller living rooms, and tight corners, that distance either is not available or it pushes the chair too far into the room. At 14 inches, the Metro fits against walls where most lift chairs cannot. Measure from your intended wall to where the back of the chair would sit — if you have at least 14 inches, the Metro reclines fully.
The PLR-925 Metro is available in Medium only, fitting users from 5'4" to 6'0". If you are under 5'4" or over 6'0", call us and we will recommend the correct chair for your measurements — the PLR-935 Tranquil is available in Small, Medium, and Large/Tall and covers the full height range. 866-218-0902.
Yes — and for this chair in particular we encourage it. The contoured seat and overstuffed split-seam back are the reason most people choose the Metro over other chairs at this price point, and that comfort difference is something you feel immediately when you sit in it rather than something you evaluate from a description. Nice tactile feel
Style: 2024 Model
Works right out of the box. Installation was simple. Probably should have gotten the next small size, as it is larger than I expected. But I like the key response and the feel of the mouse, so I'm keeping it. Nice, inexpensive keyboard and mouse.

Well, Logi (Logitech)'s normally great record has been broken...
Style: 2024 Model
Gotta vent. I've had my Logitech K800 forever and a day and LOVED it. Never any performance problems, smooth, comfortable, easy to use, and took a beating daily for years. Got it through work, so it was more expensive than your usual, but it couldn't last forever. It started being unable to take a charge, so I knew I would have to retire it. (They stopped making these (WHY???) and they're selling after-market for a fortune.) I have Logi all things keyboard, mouse, etc., so went with them again. Bought a K650, but out of the gate, it started doing weird stuff, like repeating keys when you weren't even touching the keyboard, jamming up, or just stopping functioning. Did all the usual troubleshooting, but nothing worked. Just to save time, I sent it back here and replaced it with an MK540. Son of a gun if it didn't start immediately doing the same things. NOW I was cranky, so I did my online research and learned these are well known problems for others, who also couldn't solve them. I then went to Logi tech support. Got a level 1 person who walked me through the standard steps I'd already done multiple times (Did you turn it off and on again? :-D), gave me long lists of things to try, then at the end, when nothing worked said, "Well, it's within 30 days so just return it to the seller, and here's a link to our other keyboards." "Ummm," I said, "this is the exact same circumstance with two DIFFERENT keyboards in a row. As I had no trouble with my previous Logi keyboard, and nothing else has changed on my end, it seems logical that the problem is with the new software, hardware or some QA problem with producing these models. Why would I go buy another one when we don't know WHY it's doing this, suggesting I could go through this all over again?" (BTW, a MAJOR inconvenience for days). Her answer (twice): "Don't worry, it'll be fine, just go get another one." OMG. Stubborn, so I gave it a third shot (MX Mechanical) now for 3x the money hoping better quality would help, but guess what? I've now received my 3rd notice from Amazon saying delivery will be delayed, this time with no date estimate known. I tried, Logi, but even I am done. Buying a highly rated other keyboard that has all the features I need. Logi, not sure what you're doing with these membrane ones (vs. mechanical), but it's not working. If you could ship me a K800, I'd so appreciate it. :-D K

Perfect keyboard with wireless Unifying Receiver
Style: 2024 Model
I've tried and had to return multiple $100+ keyboards due to irregular F1-F12 or arrow key layouts, dreaded Fn key in the lower-left, mushy key travel feel, etc. I've been using exclusively Logitech keyboards & mice since the 90's, but gave up and tried venturing to other brands like Keychron (had issue with inadvertent key presses when pausing fingers over keys). But this simple keyboard just gets it right. I didn't even need the bundled mouse since I use Logitech MX Master 2S, but like that I can use the same Logi Unifying Receiver and Options+ software (optional). There are dedicated keys: * power on/off colored slider * play/rewind/ff * volume mute/down/up * calculator * battery level * 2 user-configurable buttons * Fn+ F1-F8 are also configurable The are 3 height levels, built-in mini palm rest (I still use a big keyboard mat beneath), slot for Unifying Receiver and 2 AA under the battery cover. Minor issue is the batteries clack when using the F5-F12 keys (just below where the batteries are), but I taped a little strip of foam on the inner side of the battery cover to resolve it. Also great is Logitech MK270, which is more compact, light, and perfect for the road. Both have amazing battery life.
