This 40mm C40 Arca-Type Quick-Release Clamp from Pro Media Gear has an aluminum body with a nickel-chrome plated threaded insert. The insert prevents the threads from becoming stripped, as might happen with designs where the threads are in the aluminum. It also allows you to change to a different thread size if you happen to change your tripod. One 1/4"-20 and one 3/8"-16 mounting thread is included with the clamp. The locking knob is self retaining, and nickel-chrome plated knob for added durability.
