Ak Zanj 'With Angels' Cognac Cask Dark RumZanj Rum, from Port au Prince, Haiti, is a third generation venture currently under the helm of a long respected figure in Haitian Clairins and Rums, who has fairly recently turned his hand to distilling. Made from an endemic strain of sugarcane, distilled in a 60 year old Creole Column still, and aged exclusively in Limousin oak previously used for Cognac, it is an easy sipping and expressive example of the uniqueness of Haitian rums.
