This is a beautiful map of the southern portion of Upper Sain xony, in what is now eastern Germany and northwest Czech Republic, by Robert de Vaugondy. It includes the Duchy of Thuringia and the Marquisate of Meissen and extends from Berlin to Prague in the Czech Republic and west as far as Gottingen in Germany. The entire region is depicted in extraordinary detailed, offering both topographical and political information, with forests and mountains beautifully rendered in profile.

The 'circles' of Germany are the 'imperial circles,' administrative units created for tain x and defense purposes by the Holy Roman Empire, of which these areas were a part. The Napoleonic Wars would, of course, dissolve the Holy Roman Empire and lead to the consolidation of Germany in 1871.

In 1180 Duke Henry the Lion fell, and the medieval Duchy of Sain xony dissolved. The Sain xe-Wittenberg lands were passed among dynasties who took the tribal name Sachsen (Sain xons) upstream as they conquered the lands of the Polabian Slavs further up the Elbe. The Polabian Slavs had migrated to this area of Germany in the second half of the first millennium A.D., and had been largely assimilated by the Holy Roman Empire by the time this map was made. Today, the German government recognizes some 60,000 'Sorbs,' or descendants of the Polabian Slavs, who have retained their language and culture.

This map was originally engraved by Catherine Haussard, one of the few female engravers active in Paris during the 18th century. Her fine work extends to the large and elaborate decorative title cartouche in the top left quadrant. Issued in the 1757 issue of the Atlas Universal. The Atlas Universal was one of the first atlases based upon actual surveys. Therefore, this map is highly accurate (for the period) and has most contemporary town names correct, though historic names are, in many cases, incorrect or omitted.

Received the package in good condition. This wire is a decent quality. I made a set of jumper cables with it and they work excellent.

bought twice to make custom UPS setup battery leads, not disappointed
Color: Black, Size: 25-Feet
bought this item(25ft 2awg) twice, the first time I did was to create some quick connect cables between my batteries and my distribution block to my 4kw invertor(24v 165a peak calculated load) I may have oversized due to knowing that the bigger you go the less you stress components and loose power to voltage drop these cables are a nice high-grade rubber jacket and the 30awg strands are ideal for maximum flexibility while remaining fairly easy to terminate this cable also includes a backer paper wrap that allows for easy stripping(of the rubber) without too much strand loss damage(from cutting too close to the core) overall, would buy again, like I did, if I need larger runs(say for feeding an RV solar AC distribution panel) I would buy this brand again, in the 100ft range or so THHN is not ideal for flex connections(strands are way too stiff) but a couple runs of welding cable like this inside something like "smurf tube" would be a perfect high-power temporary connection system, or just a way to isolate a large battery stack used for a solar setup in fact I may do that someday, set up a pallet of LiFePO4 batteries with a large quick connect, and just recharge the massive array(s) at a secondary location where solar is more ideal(or other renewables)

Custom wires for winch solenoid pack relocation.
Color: Black, Size: 25-Feet
Wire is nice. Flexible. Seems good. However the inner liner is not moisture blocking as I assumed from the pictures, it's paper.. still seems like a good price per foot.

Good, flexible (considering it's 2 GA) wire
Color: Black, Size: 20-Feet
Good, flexible (considering it's 2 GA) wire. Lugs soldered on well (using solder pot + flux). The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is because it's expensive. Made in USA was a +
