Braes of Glenlivet 1991/2024 - 32 Jahre - Margaux Wine Cask - Murray McDavid

Besonderheiten: Dieser 32 Jahre alte Single Malt Whisky aus der Speyside wurde von der Braeval Distillery, ehemals bekannt als Braes of Glenlivet, im Jahr 1991 destilliert. Nach einer langen Reifung in Bourbon Hogsheads erhielt er ein vierjähriges Finish in edlen Margaux-Weinfässern, was ihm eine besondere Tiefe und Komplexität verleiht. Abgefüllt wurde er im Frühjahr 2024 in einer limitierten Auflage von 690 Flaschen.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nase: Süsses Malz, Karamell-Apfel und milder Tabak.
  • Gaumen: Waldfrüchte, buttriges Malz und floraler Honig.
  • Abgang: Ölig, cremiges Getreide und anhaltende Beeren.

Destillerie/Abfüller: Die Braeval Distillery, gegründet 1973, liegt auf einer Höhe von 355 Metern und ist damit die höchstgelegene Brennerei Schottlands. Sie wurde ursprünglich von Chivas Brothers Ltd. erbaut, um Malz für Blends wie Chivas Regal zu liefern. Heute ist sie im Besitz von Pernod Ricard und bekannt für ihre leichten und floralen Single Malts.

Then I gradually added foam until it reached optimum comfort and support. It is also CPAP-friendly — especially when I position my head near the pillow's edge. (I am a left-side sleeper.) I like the travel size because I use a bulky hugging pillow to ease stress on my shoulder and elbow. That makes my side of the bed feel cramped if using a larger head pillow. A smaller pillow is easy to flip end-to-end in the middle of the night. I have spent lots of money on pillows over the years, but this is the best I've ever had for relieving [1] neck pain and [2] CPAP mask seal problems. Very comfortable, supportive, and affordable. I did not notice any unpleasant smell — and I am usually sensitive to that kind of thing. Would highly recommend.
