Ob in Großbritannien oder Belgien, in Finnland, Italien, Russland, Kasachstan oder China: überall schrumpfen Städte. Während man in den urbanistischen Debatten der vergangenen Jahre das Augenmerk hauptsächlich auf das Wachstum der Megapolen richtete, bilden sich parallel dazu Zonen der Schrumpfung, die von Bevölkerungsverlusten in Millionenhöhe und hoher Arbeitslosigkeit gekennzeichnet sind. Globalisierung und der Übergang zum Postsozialismus haben diesen Prozess, der in den westlichen Industrieländern mit der Suburbanisierung bereits früher eingesetzt hat, noch beschleunigt. Ausgehend von konkreten Fallbeispielen werden hier Ursachen und Dynamik von Schrumpfungsprozessen erstmals weltweit in den Blick genommen. Manchester/Liverpool (GB), Detroit (USA), Ivanovo (RUS) und Halle/Leipzig (D) stehen dabei im Zentrum einer internationalen Untersuchung, die sich auf die Lebensbedingungen und den kulturellen Wandel in von Bevölkerungsrückgang und wirtschaftlicher Schrumpfung geprägten Stadtregionen konzentriert. Love, love this throw. It is not heated, but will keep you warm. It is extremely good looking to throw over a chair or sofa, and is exceptionally plush and soft. I gave one to a friend as well as a gift, she does not ever express much emotion, but indicates really likes hers. I am glad I ordered one for myself. Truly pleased.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of this throw. I got it on a super discount at $19. It’s double sided fur so you can feel the fluffiness on either side. It’s thick and soft and I’m so glad I bought it.

Very pretty and very soft

I am very satisfied with this blanket. I ordered the tie dye brown and the other side is a nice light brown color. One thing is that the double sides aren't bonded together so it's like having two blankets sewed together but it's not so unruly, for me, that it becomes unruly. I've had double sided throws that weren't bonded that were much heavier than this one and was hard to maneuver, fold up and such as the sides were not bonded together. Anyway, adequate thickness and super soft. Not super heavy, not too lightweight...a goldilocks weight.

It's so soft and cozy

I bought this blanket for newborn photos, and now it's my favorite tv watching blanket. It was absolutely darling to lay baby on for pictures. It doesn't look like cheesy fake cow print, and it's so incredibly soft and cozy.
