Die Sturtzpads, die das Motorrad nicht verbreitern, da sie nicht über den Lenker hinausragen, dienen nicht nur zum Schutz des Motors sondern auch dem Schutz vom Rahmen des Bikes. Falls es zu einem Sturtz kommen sollte, berühren die Fußrasten zuerst den Boden, bevor die Sturtzpads ihnen folgen.
