Der Armlehnstuhl Favela gehört zu den markantesten Arbeiten der brasilianischen Designer Fernando und Humberto Campana. Inspirierend und namensgebend für dieses außergewöhnliche Sitzmöbel war nach Aussage des Brüderpaares die Architektur der typischen Armensiedlungen ihres Heimatlandes. Ähnlich wie die meist hüttenartigen Behausungen dort ist auch der Favela quasi aus Reststücken und Abfallmaterial zusammengenagelt und -geleimt. Für ihren zeichenhaften Stuhl nutzen die Campanas kleine, verschiedenformatige Holzstücke, wie sie als Verschnitt in jeder Tischlerei massenhaft anfallen. Mit dem Favela beweisen sie, dass auch aus vordergründig ärmlichen, wertlosen Materialien Objekte von eigentümlicher Poesie und Schönheit entstehen können. Nebenbei lotet der Favela das spannungsreiche Verhältnis von Unikat und Serieprodukt auf eine neue Art und Weise aus. Zwar ist jeder Stuhl aus dem gleichen Ausgangsmaterial und nach dem selben Bauplan hergestellt, im Detail aber behält jedes Exemplar seine Individualität.

Love this glow in the dark Chuck IT. Get a black light flashlight to charge the neon instantly. Good texture gives the dog better grip than the smooth all white glow in the dark chuck it balls.
