In seiner Arbeit war Harun Farocki (1944–2014) stets an der präzisen Beschreibung und überraschenden Verknüpfung komplexer Zusammenhänge interessiert. Dies trifft auf Kinofilme wie Bilder der Welt und Inschrift des Krieges (1988) ebenso zu wie auf weniger bekannte Fernsehproduktionen wie Erzählen (1975, mit Ingemo Engström) und zahlreiche Videoinstallationen für Galerien und Museen seit 1995. Auch als Autor und Lehrer an Film- und Kunsthochschulen entwickelte Farocki Vermittlungsmethoden, in denen sich Didaktik, Autodidaktik und Antididaktik in charakteristischer Weise mischten. Einfachheit ohne Vereinfachung analysiert die Arbeitsprozesse hinter Farockis vielseitiger Praxis. Im Zentrum stehen das Verhältnis von Archiv und Arbeit, der Einsatz von Pädagogik und Vermittlung sowie der operative Charakter von Bildern. Ausgangspunkt sind die Einblicke, die sich nach Farockis Tod aus der Arbeit mit dem Nachlass des Filmemachers ergeben haben. In einem bisher unveröffentlichten Gespräch erinnert sich Farocki an die Besonderheiten der von ihm maßgeblich geprägten Zeitschrift Filmkritik .

Great Idea but they will let you down eventually
I have used these for years during the winter. The price has nearly tripled but the longevity is the same. I normally purchase three with one being a spare. Within a few weeks they start going. I switch batteries etc but normally that does not help. Its a great idea and my dogs love them but they dont hold up to 10 minutes of play each nite.
