BCAA ist die Abkürzung für Branched Chain Amino Acids (verzweigtkettige Aminosäuren). Es handelt sich dabei um eine spezielle Art von Aminosäuren, die der Körper des Pferdes nicht selbst produzieren kann, sondern die über das Futter zugeführt werden müssen.
Im Gegensatz zu anderen Aminosäuren werden BCAAs direkt in die Muskeln umgewandelt, ohne dass sie zuvor abgebaut werden müssen. Dadurch kann der Körper sofort mit der Reparatur und dem Aufbau der Muskeln beginnen.
Regeneration und Muskelkarter
Wenn das Pferd trainiert wird, ist das gesamte zentrale Nervensystem betroffen und der BCAA-Spiegel im Körper sinkt. Durch die Zugabe von BCAA in Verbindung mit dem Training können Sie die mentale Konzentration des Pferdes verbessern und die empfundene Anstrengung verringern. Das Pferd erholt sich schneller, fühlt sich energiegeladener und ist früher bereit für die nächste Trainingseinheit.
Pferde bekommen ebenso wie Menschen Muskelkater und können sich in den Tagen nach dem Training steif oder wund fühlen. Untersuchungen haben gezeigt, dass BCAAs Muskelkater reduzieren können. Das liegt daran, dass das in BCAAs enthaltene Leucin die Muskelregeneration beschleunigt, indem es den Proteinaufbau aktiviert.
Muskelaufbauc
BCAA wirkt als Katalysator für den Muskelaufbau. Durch die Erhöhung des Leucinspiegels im Blut signalisiert der Körper den Muskeln, dass es Zeit ist, mit der Erholung der Muskeln nach dem Training zu beginnen. Der Körper erhält einen erhöhten Leucinspiegel entweder durch Training oder durch die Zufuhr von BCAAs. Training und BCAAs wirken also einzeln, aber auch zusammen und sorgen so für eine noch effektivere Erholung nach dem Training.
Welche Pferde können BCAA bekommen?
BCAA wird Pferden verabreicht, die Hilfe bei der Erholung nach dem Training und bei der Linderung von Trainingsschmerzen benötigen. Es kann als tägliche Nahrungsergänzung, nach härteren Trainingseinheiten oder als Kur während intensiverer Trainings- oder Wettkampfphasen verabreicht werden.

The Amazing, Original View of Sex, Marriage and Romance.

Two words: So. Good.
I hadn't read anything by John Mark Comer before, but now I'm definitely looking at reading his other books. The depth, honesty, intensity and openness of Loveology really makes it a great tool for getting God's perspective on some of the most important topics in life. So good. As a young man (not even in my twenties yet), this was a great, consuming, eye-opening book that I'm so grateful God allowed me to read. I saw a video for it on Jefferson Bethke's YouTube channel and knew from that moment that I needed to read it. Although it took a few months, I finally ordered the book and got in the mail a few days later. The information and perspective this book both gave me and enforced are priceless.
If you're a young man (or "teenager), and a Christian one a that, you NEED to read this book. If you're a young woman (or "teenager"), and a Christian one at that, you also NEED to read this book. As the younger generation, this is stuff we need to get. We have our entire lives ahead of us, and the more things we do God's way the first time around, the more He can do through us and for us as we continue down our path for life. Sexuality, marriage, romance, and God's place in all of this has been so freaking warped and twisted in our spiraling American culture. We need God's truth on this topic like *crazy.* Everyone does, but especially Christian youth. God has amazing things for us to do, but we can't do those things if we have bad relationships, wrong views of sex or warped ideas of marriage standing in the way. And while this book is definitely not the only way for us to get this truth, it is an extremely good start.

A great dive into "love"
Format: Hardcover
A perhaps too easy-to-read book with an interesting perspective on the concept of love, sex, and romantic relationships. It provided for me a mostly pleasant confrontation with my beliefs about love. Props to the author for the ballsy somewhat "counter-cultural" content. Good read for all interested in the idea of love, regardless of one's belief.

MUST READ - Biblical Perspective of Sex and Relationships, Great Book For Late Teens
Format: Hardcover
This book gives a right on Biblical perspective of dating, relationships, sex and more. Every Christian parent should buy this for their older teenage kids. I bought this book for my 18 year old daughter. She took it to school and found out that several of her friends had heard about the author and were also reading it. Her boyfriend is reading it now too. The Q&A portion at the end of the book is so good.
