Die Blumenzwiebeln und Knollen im Winter in einem Topf mit einer Schicht Herbstlaub auf der Erde schützen. Den Topf bei starkem Frost vorübergehend in einen Schuppen stellen oder mit Luftpolsterfolie schützen. In einem Topf dürfen sie näher aneinander stehen. Beim Pflanzen ins Freie einen Pflanzabstand von der dreifachen Breite der Zwiebel oder Knolle einhalten. Für die Pflanztiefe die dreifache Höhe beibehalten. Die Mischung an einen Standort in der Sonne oder im Halbschatten stellen. Die Mischung wächst wunderbar, ganz ohne zusätzliches Wasser.
