Equine America Copper Plus ist ein Nahrungsergänzungsmittel, das den Kupferspiegel im Blut Ihres Pferdes unterstützt. Kupfer, das in allen Körperzellen vorhanden ist, unterstützt die Aufnahme und Verwertung von Eisen für die Blutzellproduktion. Kupfer ist außerdem für verschiedene Enzyme notwendig, die an lebenswichtigen Prozessen beteiligt sind, sowie für die Regulierung der normalen Haarpigmentierung. Pferde vertragen Kupfer gut, eine übermäßige Supplementierung kann jedoch die Aufnahme von Zink und Eisen stören. Kupfermangel kann sich in Anämie, schlechtem Wachstum, Depigmentierung des Haares, Gewichtsverlust und einigen Knochenerkrankungen äußern. Die empfohlene Dosierung entspricht den EU-Grenzwerten für Kupferpräparate.
