Dieser trockene Pinot Noir ist ein Beleg für das hohe Qualitätsniveau, das Ferdinand Koegler mit seinen Rotweinen anstrebt. Die Namensgebung „Rubeus“ deutet auf die rubinrote Färbung des Weins hin, die schon beim Einschenken das Auge begeistert. Die Spätburgunder-Trauben stammen aus den besten Lagen des Weinguts, wo durch strikte Ertragsreduktion und selektive Handlese die besten Vorraussetzungen für hochqualitativen Wein-Genuss geschaffen werden. Der „Rubeus“ Spätburgunder trocken wurde im Holzfass trocken ausgebaut. So entstand ein gehaltvoller und ansprechender Rotwein, der sich durch die typische Kirscharomatik und feine schokoladige Röstaromen auszeichnet. Dieser Pinot Noir ist ein nobler Wein mit Ausdruckskraft und hohem Reifepotenzial.
