Mit der Serie LE THIERS POCKET erweitert die französische Messermanufaktur Fontenille Pataud das Sortiment der Le-Thiers-Modelle um eine kompaktere Variante. Wie für Messer dieses Typs üblich, weist auch das POCKET die typische geschwungene Formgebung der Le-Thiers-Messer auf.

Technisch ist das Messer auf dem gewohnt hohen Niveau von Fontenille Pataud. Die Klinge aus 160-lagigem Twistdamast von Damasteel lässt sich leichtgängig öffnen und über eine Backlock Verriegelung arretieren. Sauber eingepasste Backen aus Edelstahl, Schalen aus Ebenholz sowie eine verzierte Rückenfeder sorgen für ein attraktives Design dieses Modells.

Very durable! I noticed earlier this spring that mine was starting to rip after several strong spring wind storms. I knew I had had it for several years but I wasn’t sure how long. Note that it stays outside on the deck all year round, and that includes during Northeast US winters with frigid temperatures and snow and I only now started to see the tears in it this spring. The tear started at the top of the grill, and actually started falling apart more after I touched it. Refer to the attached photos of mine after 6 years. I think it’s very durable for sitting outside for 6 years and only now only starting to show wear . You can also see how it didn’t really fade despite getting full afternoon sunlight. The velcro ties at the bottom,are also a plus as far as getting it to stay in place and not blow off. That’s why I definitely just repurchased the same one. Hopefully, I will get at least 6 years out of the new one when it arrives tomorrow.
