Mit seinem experimentellen Umgang mit Materialien und Techniken und den antiformalistischen Bildfindungen überraschte und provozierte der Maler und Bildhauer Max Ernst (1891–1976) die Kunstwelt immer wieder. Die Publikation konzentriert sich auf ausgesuchte Aspekte, die einen geschärften Blick auf das facettenreiche Werk von Max Ernst erlauben. Im Zentrum steht das Wandbild Pétales et Jardin de la Nymphe Ancolie (1934). Gemälde, Collagen und Plastiken rund um das Thema der Garten- und Pflanzenwelt, der Transformation von Natur zu anthropomorphen oder menschlichen Figuren visualisieren den weiten ikonografischen Umkreis dieses Bildes. Dazu gehören u.a. die Jardins gobe-avions und Arbeiten rund um das Thema von Loplop, dem Alter Ego des Künstlers. Great for semi-experienced looking to build on knowledge.

Fantastic instructional manual if you already have some basic knowledge of anchors, ropework and climbing technique. It is written as an instructional manual for climbers looking to turn into guides so if you're brand new this probably isn't the best option for you.

Clear, straight forward, and authoritative
Format: Paperback
Excellent, straightforward information about how to stay safe at the crag. Every guy who's put his hand on a rock has an opinion about how to set anchors, belay, etc -- this book gives you the answers on how to do things the right way. Spend the 10 or 15 bucks and read the book. It might save your life.
