Bei der Tankstellen-Serie sind Logos und Schriften entfernt, die Fotografien sind keine wirklichkeitsgetreuen Wiedergaben von Vorhandenem, sondern kalkulierte Ästhetisierungen der Alltagsumgebung. Sie weisen dezidiert den Anspruch von konventionellem Realismus zurück.Dagegen wirken die Fensteraussichten auf einen Flughafen der Serie Salta wie Gemälde von Piet Mondrian.
