100 % Carricante, die autochthone Weißweinrebe des Ätna. Von uralten Reben in Alberello-Erziehung auf vulkanischem Boden — Lava, Bimsstein, Vulkanasche. Handgelesen, schonend vinifiziert, Ausbau teilweise in Holz. Der 2019er hat sechs Jahre Reife und zeigt die ganze Mineralität des Ätna-Terroirs.

Tiefes Strohgelb mit goldenen Reflexen. In der Nase weißer Pfirsich, Zitrus, Feuerstein, ein Hauch Kräuter und rauchige Mineralität. Am Gaumen voluminös und zugleich straff — die vulkanische Säure trägt den Wein, die Textur ist cremig, das Finish endlos lang und mineralisch. Ein großer Weißwein.
